Cookies and local storage

A plain-language inventory of browser storage used by the current prototype.

Givessa is an early product prototype. Operator identity, legal address, jurisdiction and a formal request channel are intentionally not stated yet and must be added before commercial launch.

Necessary cookies

The application may set strictly necessary session and security cookies for protected owner access and framework security. They are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.

Wishlist local storage

After you save the first idea, the browser stores one item named givessa.wishlist.v1. It contains the random share token and private edit token so this browser can reopen and edit the list without an account.

Finder deletion storage

After starting a finder session, the browser stores givessa.finder.deletions.v1 with random private deletion keys for up to 20 recent sessions. The keys do not identify a person and never appear in public URLs; they authorize deletion of those sessions from the server.

No advertising trackers

Public pages currently load no third-party advertising cookies, social pixels or third-party analytics scripts. The optional research checkbox controls dataset eligibility, not browser cookies.

Your controls

Use “Delete my finder data” before clearing site data if you want to delete saved finder sessions from the server. Clearing givessa.finder.deletions.v1 first removes those deletion keys but does not itself delete server records. Clearing givessa.wishlist.v1 removes wishlist editing access but does not delete the server-side list.

Updates

If non-essential analytics or other browser storage is introduced later, this inventory and any required consent mechanism must be updated before activation.
